I did say I like sushi-meshi. However, those pickled plums are quite a shock the first time you try one .

I like plain rice and depending on the rice (wild, Jasmine, long-grain, pilaf, saffron, etc.), I'll season it with salt, butter or soy sauce.

Me three. Rice pilaf can be quite tasty. You either need to find some good recipes or work with it. Something like this: How to Make Fluffy, Fragrant Rice Pilaf - Bon Appétit

Most people love all kinds of rice dishes, but I was raised with rice being served as a dessert.
My family didn't eat a lot of rice, either. My mother used it in chicken soup, stuffed peppers and, of course, rice pudding. Father didn't care for rice, so there was no reason to even bother serving it most of the time.

I like wild grain rice cooked in chicken stock. I also add fresh mushrooms and other herbs to jazz it up.

I like pheasant with wild rice stuffing. Take the wild rice, cook it wet, add crumbled italian sausage or the like, add mushrooms and stuff the bird with some sliced lemon placed in the bird above and below the stuffing mix. The wet rice moistens the bird while cooking, the sausage adds a nice zing as well.

Mmm.. thats a good bird right there!
