I never refrigerate, but I also don't keep most produce around until immediately before I'm going to use it.

I only refrigerate if they start to go bad or I have half of one leftover.

I normally refrigerate, then leave them out a bit before I start cooking with them.

Mealy. That's the word I was looking for. I'll reluctantly put them in the refrigerator if they're getting too ripe. Other than that, I wouldn't think of doing it. It ruins them.

Like Gerania, I keep mine out and refrigerate if they start getting too ripe and after I have cut it.

Mine are on the window sill, where they keep fine for two or three weeks, and might even acquire some enhanced natural ripeness.. I do not like to eat anything that is cold, rather than room temperature. Not even a glass of water.

If they need to ripen, keep them on the counter. If they're ripe, and you want to keep them from going bad..refridgerate. Easy!

I didn't vote. They stay out until they're ripe, then into the fridge they go.

I often just cut off the part going bad and just eat the whole rest of the tomato rather than putting it in the fridge. Win/win.

I keep mine out unless they've been sliced, then I refrigerate the leftovers.
