My partner accidently came home with a pint of heavy cream from our local dairy. He was supposed to have gotten half and half.
Since this is the good stuff...organic and really expensive, I am not sure what to do with it. I guess I could make ice cream, but we are not really big on ice cream.
Any suggestions on how to use up 2 cups of the good stuff? Thanks.
Heavy cream makes a really good whipped cream for desserts or drink toppings (makes a better, richer, longer lasting whipped cream than whipping cream does, actually), or you can make alfredo sauce, potatoes au gratin (anything with a cream sauce, really), it can be used in various baked goods (scones made with heavy cream are amazing). It's super delicious in coffee if you're a coffee drinker.

I can't figure out how to make it properly, but this stuff that is big in Turkey and the Balkans, kaymak, it's basically just clotted cream, but it's soooooo perfect with honey on bread or on a crepe or something like that. Or just do clotted cream.
