This^^^. Pretty much the same thing all year round. It doesn't ever get really cold, & we have air conditioning. I've never understood the thing about changing the menu due to weather. Just like I've never understood the thing about putting away certain clothes seasonally. Y'all don't wear shorts year round?

I just want a big slice of cold watermelon, which I'm having right now.

Yes! We are in our canned fruit season. I don't really change the menu for summer, but you can bet soups are comfort food for winter. So I would say the canned fruit is our comfort food for summer.

During the hot weather days, I don't like to turn on the oven and something like a cold rotisserie chicken sounds good.

I grill a lot. It is still hot outside, but the kitchen doesn't get hot. Today I had steak on the grill and a foil packet of veggies. I'd rather be hot than cold.

113° Gazpacho here, too... only I left out the traditional tomato and used cucumber, spinach, avocado, green onions and cilantro spiced with turmeric and cayenne. Following up with chipotle cheddar grilled cheese spread with sundried tomato pesto.

Yup. Here where I live, A/C is on pretty much all the time, so the outside temp is not that important except when you're going from auto to store, or auto to house, or vice versa.

That being said, salads are always nice in the hot weather. I make a killer green salad with my own Italian vinagrette, also a wonderful tomato salad.

We have central air, but I still hate cooking in the summer. Last night I had watermelon. Eat a lot of salads and sandwiches. Hate to grill. Tried it, but you have to be outside in the HEAT. No thanks.
