I prefer waffles, pancakes are too soggy and always make me feel bloated afterwards.

I love pancakes. I haven't eaten waffles in years. I prefer the smooth surface of pancakes. I don't like the texture of waffles.

I also use the same batter for both but put a hint of cinnamon in my waffles. Bisquick is my favorite mix.

What you need to try is a "frenchcake". It's where French toast meets a pancake

Waffles over pancakes. Pancakes absorb too much syrup. But best of all is French Toast!

With French Toast, sprinkle with Allspice or Nutmeg, and add Vanilla to the egg coating to jazz them up.

But mostly, French Toast is just an excuse to free-base a half stick of butter!!!!

The taste buds over rule the arteries every time!

My husband will add in things at random when making waffles. I've liked ones where he's added a hint of cinnamon, or some vanilla extract, mashed banana, cocoa powder, cornmeal, ground almonds. The only thing I didn't like was when he tried coconut flour, because it imparted a grainy texture that wasn't good (unlike the cornmeal grainy texture, which was nice, like corn cakes or hush puppies).

I like both, pancakes and waffles. Pancakes are easier to make and I do not have a waffle iron. So, I voted like if I were at a restaurant or someone else's house. Waffles are a treat! I like them best with whipped cream and fresh berries. Pancakes, which I make at least once a week, I serve with butter and syrup. Fast and simple. I do not like the toaster versions of pancakes, but the toaster waffles are ok.

They're a rare treat, but I do prefer waffles.

It's a gross misconception that waffles/pancakes can only be served as a sweet breakfast. Google is your friend -- try 'savory waffles', for instance.
