I agree with your preference; however, I don't order milkshakes anymore because the vast majority of ice cream contains carrageenan and we only buy foods that don't contain carrageenan.

I like milkshakes, but have never ordered one for myself. Son loves chocolate shakes, so that is my experience because I get a taste.

The best milkshake I ever had was a peanut butter shake from a burger stand. I also love a classic chocolate malted, and in third place I'll take a mint chocolate chip shake.
