They changed their formula recently to get rid of all the chemicals, supposedly. You can also get Organic Valley American slices now, ridiculously expensive but healthy and socially conscious as heck. Let's face facts, American is the best cheese for cheeseburgers, there's not a fancy one that's better. Also great in bologna sandwiches but let's not go there.

I've tried liverwurst a few times as an adult and it tastes nasty to me. I'm not above eating the PB and Fluff sandwiches, but only if I was making them for a child anyway.
Liverwurst is traditionally eaten with German mustard on top of a toasted rye slice ..... I like plain old French's yellow mustard also.

Or, Cooper brand sharp American.
