Depends... On where I'm at. Who cooked them. What's in them. Quesadilla's have changed over the years as people experimented with different variations of it. Mine:

Quesadillas - Flour tortilla's filled with cheese, eggs, onions, garlic and green chile, then toasted (in a large dry frying
pan). P1050119 by Rich, on Flickr"

My home made quesadilla. Sharp cheddar cheese, sliced turkey, sour cream, green salsa. IMG_9905 by Rich, on Flickr:

I roll it up and turn it into an enchilada. Then I use a knife and fork...

I have never eaten one. I tasted one my child ordered, but I found it to be a bad rendition of a grilled cheese sandwich.

Don't you mean grilled queso?

And yes it's definitely akin to a grilled cheese but for me personally, I like the taste of the buttered crispy tortilla vs the buttered "grilled" bread. ( It's how I make it in my quesadilla maker that I got as a gift and thought it was going to be the most useless gadget ever)

I got a quesadilla maker as a gift several years ago in a grab bag and have yet to use it. I think I need to start using it

I eat mine with a knife and fork usually because once there's meat and other fillings in it, it tends to flop open. I also like to put sour cream, salsa, guac, etc on it sometimes so it can get kinda messy.

As for the burrito, in a restaurant I will eat it with a fork and knife. If it's on the go (NOT from Taco Bell) then I eat it using just my hands. They're usually wrapped in foil and not overly filled so they're not too messy.

I was amazed when I opened it up and my friend was beaming since she managed to get me something that I didn't have in my kitchen. LOL She is really cute. Most recently she got me the double bladed curved herb cutter with matching curved wooden cutting board.
