We're doing a bake sale here next week and someone specifically requested that I raffle off one of my raisin pies. She had a bite of it nearly 10 years ago and loved it so much that she never forgot. I'm happy to oblige. But here's the thing: I have another pie recipe I really want to fix that sounds sure-fire -- it's like a pecan pie basically, only you add cocoa powder to the filling and use walnuts and almonds instead of pecans.
Do I choose one? Do I make both? Decisions, decisions!
what if someone had a nut allergy?? and swelled up like a bloated roadkill??
stay with the raisins,,,natures candy
Make both. Despite what people like to think, people with nut allergies don't expect the rest of the world to be nut-free just because of them. And they'll know to ask before eating it.
I'd never heard of raisin pie until now. I'm 40! I'm going to ask my mom if she knew about this delicious looking dessert, and if so, why did she not tell me. I wonder what else I've been missing.
