Once a month. I usually eat venison, elk, pheasant, duck, wild caught trout, chicken from a Hutte colony, pork (we buy 1/2 hog each year)… Not so much on the beef..

Beef like hamburger? Maybe three or four times. Beef like a steak? Once a week. Prices are getting too high.

We'd eat it more often if it wasn't so expensive. We usually stock up on beef when our farmer neighbor sends his in to be processed. However, our farmer friend's kids got older and tossed a ruckus about eating their pet steer so they swapped their steer for one of their neighbor's but that wasn't near the same quality as we'd been used to. They weren't real pleased either and they've not raised as steer lately which means we've not been able to buy grass fed local beef at affordable prices. I may buy a calf or two and run them on my friend's pasture. She wants something to eat the grass although she's a vegetarian and may not like the idea of the steer disappearing after a year and a half.

That is awesome that you are in such great health! I was told by my doctor not to eat red meat more than 1x a week. My cholesterol used to be high but now I take 1000 mg fish oil twice a day and it is better. I love my red meat . Lol it is hard for me to eat it only once a week.

Definitely not more than once a week...probably more like a couple times a month...I eat mostly chicken if I eat meat...and if don't eat chicken I eat lentils, chickpeas, beans, etc.
