A combination of Paleo and Vegan.
Doesn't sound possible since Vegans wont eat meat and Paleos wont eat grains.
The Pegan diet focuses primarily on fruits and vegetables - filling 75 percent of your diet with plants and rounding out the other 25 percent with meat.
A better description is probably a very clean modified paleo diet.
The Pegan diet is a very healthy way to eat and eliminates a lot of problem foods.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has anyone tried this?
I'm into it.

Not so great, a lot of people have allergies to stuff like tomatoes and onions.

Fruit can also be a problem, if i eat too much pineapple my mouth swells.

Sensible diet is still the best way to go - the old fashioned pyramid.

That gives you mostly fresh food anyway.

75% Fruits 25% vegetables

I agree and this is what I did to lower my cholesterol.
Mostly for meat, chicken turkey and fish.

That's not saying that I don't indulge occasionally eating red meat.
Fried foods hardly ever, mayo substituted with mustard, butter substituted with spray butter substitute.
If I did fry fish I used olive oil.

Switched too 2% milk.
After reaching my goal on lowering cholesterol I occasionally indulge in my favorite foods.

I use chia seeds and flax seeds in smoothies prior and after since supposedly they bind to cholesterol plus I take a fish oil supplement.

I find this to work very well. In five months I lost 37 lbs and lowered my cholesterol to acceptable levels.
Still room for improvement.

My doctor said you need cholesterol drugs without even suggesting a change of diet and I called her on it.

Don't mess with my bread!

In all seriousness, cindersslipper is correct; Quick trying to find these little tricks and rules, just eat a balanced, sensible diet instead. Sure, more fruits and veggies is always a good thing.

A clean Paleo diet sounds good. I don't think I could eat 75% veg, though. I'm thin and get cold easily. My cholesterol and triglyceride levels are quite low. Without fail, every year some doctor asks about my diet. Though I'm not diabetic, I don't do well with starchy foods or sugar. I can't eat a lot of fruit.
