I cannot say I like it. Ate a ton of it in sandwiches as a kid. Mom made 'spam salad'. Diced it up, added sweet relish, mayo and mustard. Guess it must have been cheap. I picture some big guy with a scoop shovel going around the meat processing plant scooping all the scraps on the floor and dumping them into the 'here comes spam' machine.
Yes, this is how I understand Spam. It has been said that all the parts of animals that you wouldn't want to eat are in there. Of course I found this out after eating Spam-like substances and vienna sausage for a number of years. I don't have a reference source, though.

Sorry to disappoint, but Spam's made with ham and pork shoulder. If you want the odd parts, you'll need to buy head cheese, souse, or scrapple. I've seen the odd hog's hair in slices of head cheese.
I freely admit - I like Vienna sausages. They remind me of being a kid, and once in awhile my dad would "cook" Sunday dinner for us. What that really meant is that we'd stop at the store, and he'd buy all this junk that we never had in the house - and we'd eat Vienna sausages, saltine crackers, tomato soup out of a can, wash it all down with Coca Cola, and then have Snickers bars for dessert! GOOD TIMES!
So every once in awhile, I buy a can of Vienna sausages and salute my dad.
Good taste Do you like the sauced versions ? BBQ and/or Spicy/Hot?
I ate fried spam sandwiches as a child in the midwest. Every now and then these days my wife'll make me some spam musubi to bring to work to eat. We bought a cheap plastic musubi mold and do a nori wrap with rice, fried egg, and fried spam (low-sodium or sometimes the hot-and-spicy variety). I generally put a dab of a Polynesian sauce on the top while I eat them.
