It was almost a dessert or cereal when I was growing up as well. yep, with sugar and butter, sometimes even milk. We also used it as our carb for meals once or twice a week. Now I get it at Asian restaurants, when I make Chinese dinner at home, which is about every few weeks and then I may serve it instead of potatoes or other carbs for dinner on occasion. When I do, my guess is, we probably have about 1/2 cup or a little more. I have a hard time understanding how anyone could eat a cup or more. I know, we all have different food likes and dislikes.
