Trader Joe's has frozen Shrimp Toast. I want to serve them at a party next week but I would like recommendations for a dipping sauce.

Sweet Sour
Duck Sauce
Sweet Thai Chili Sauce
For something a little lighter, Sweet Thai Chili Sauce with a little mirin, dash of soy and some fresh chopped cilantro.

Shrimp toast or prawn toast is a Chinese dim sum dish. It is made from small triangles of bread, brushed with egg and coated with minced shrimp and water chestnuts, then cooked by baking or deep frying

You had me intrigued. I looked around the internet and read reviews (overall not very good but one gave hope). They suggested dim sum sauce or Trader Joe's Sriracha Ranch Dressing. One mentioned soy sauce but given your situation that might be difficult for dipping. Good luck with your party and have fun!

Cocktail sauce goes good with shrimp but I don't know if it goes with shrimp toast.

It depends what you like, if you want an asian sauce or honey mustard or whatever.

Another nice sauce is orange marmalade with horseradish and mustard.

The Thai sweet/hot chili sauce would be my first choice.

Why do you think it needs to be dipped in anything? I've had it a few times. Never saw a dipping sauce, didn't want one.

If it needs a dipping sauce, how about yum yum sauce.
