How far in advance can I buy a fully-cooked ham and keep in fridge?

we have a vacum sealed ham...cure 81 that we have had refrigerated for 3 months...no date on it at all. Would it still be good? It looks ok.

Have to laugh, this thread is 4 years old: I bet the op has bought, and cooked her ham by now; let's hope so

if ham spoils the juice will turn white/milky and it will stink.....use your nose..

if the ham is dry.....look for round mold spots.....


most likely its fine if it smells ok..

Yes, since it is cured usually with a lot of salt it will keep much longer than normal. If it stays sealed and is kept at a low temperature it should easily keep till the date on the package and probably much longer.

The hams that are currently in the stores at 12-18-23 are best by dated 3-31-24.
