Blue Bell is already back in the stores here, but with limited flavors. I haven't bought any and I don't plan to.

I used to like Blue Bunny, but the really good flavors disappeared long ago.

I like HEB (local grocery chain) Adam's Best flavors. Those are as good as Blue Bell.

Agree. Look at the ingredient list. A lot of science-type thing. Ice cream should be milk, cream, sugar, and simple natural ingredients.

I don't care for Blue Bell.

I will only buy B&J if it's on sale---like last week. I bought Half-Baked, which was a mistake, because I ate it all and I am THANKFUL that I only have access to pints at that point! I know Talenti is gelato but they had an amazing sale the other week (3 for $5) and I should not buy the sea salted caramel flavor, because it is evilly delicious.

Last week I had a mean scoop of Haagen-Dasz macadamia crunch in a chocolate dipped cone rolled in crushed almonds. I could eat that every day.

When I buy by the gallon I buy from Quik-Trip, a chain of gas station/snack food stores. I think the brand is Nature's Best. It's surprisingly good and inexpensive. I've never looked at the ingredients but it tastes like real cream.

We just get vanilla and embellish it usually so it has to have a good vanilla scent and rich flavor.

Tillamook, hands down. I think that HD is very overrated and so is B&J.

I've tried Adele's - Horrible!! Inedible!!
I've tried Bryers - Meh. So so.
I'm going to give Tillamook a chance.
I know Ben & Jerry's is good but I just cant bring myself to pay that much for such a small amount.

Any brands that I should steer clear of?

Any favorites for recommendations?

Hope they got the bugs out

For regular store brand Public Premium is really good, as another posted they have good seasonal flavors..
The Sams Choice ice cream from Walmart was pretty good also, I was pleasantly surprised. They had a few unique flavors though I only tried a chocolate based type once..

I love Ben and Jerry's and its variety of weird flavors and textures but because of it's expense only buy it on sale..

My favorite ice cream right now is Turkey Hill Chocolate Moose Tracks. I generally like the Turkey Hill taste.

I also enjoy the Edy's flavor, like French Silk.

Hood, Friendly's - just average. Breyers isn't too bad.

I always liked turkey Hill, Stop and shop store brand is good, Edy's is not bad. Breyers was a favorite years ago but it tastes fake to me now.

Breyers is generally good, but one time I bought a whipped vanilla and it was too lite like a vanilla whipped cream instead of icecream.

HaggennDaz, Godiva and Ben and Jerry have the best quality from what I've tried.
