The last of the Korean-style barbecued chicken with brown rice and steamed broccoli. Iced tea to drink.

I took ground chuck out of the freezer yesterday; put it in the sink and it is still frozen: can we say cold here? Anyway I am making a meat loaf, baking potatoes and fixing a big green salad. Sounds like a good dinner on a freezing day with temps not reaching the 20s maybe. Luckily we don't have more that about an inch of snow and ice if that much.

I have beef stew in the crockpot.

Stupid cat woke me up at 4:30 this morning wanting out, then when she saw it was -6 with snow on the ground (it's up to 3 degrees now), she changed her mind. I was up, so I browned stew meat and cut vegetables and got everything in the crockpot. I see a nap in my future.

Made a new friend last night and he brought over a couple of pizzas to share with me and Uncle O and even offered to chop some more firewood for us. I need to make a quick dessert, apple crisp I think.
