Just could not face cooking, so I had a bowl of Basic Four cereal with milk and half a banana.

16 hours? Geez! Glad you're all okay. Oh and the food too. That usually happens to us during twister season. The bad ice storm we had, we never lost power. We were the only street to keep it. Everyone else lost it for 3 weeks.

New Years eve: just the two of us: crab legs, salad and I think I will do brussel sprouts.

Every New Year's Eve we stay home and watch a special movie. Tonight son is here and he requested a marathon of Dark Mirror which is a British series kind of like Twilight Zone. Really weird stories.

Our supper always consists of party food and tonight I will make:

cocktail weenies in bottle of chili sauce and jar of grape jelly
ham and swiss cheese sliders
Mushrooms stuffed with crab meat
Squash puffs
Almond Bacon Crostini
Banana Bread
Lemon cookies
Brown Sugar Pecan Shortbread Cookies

Happy New Year to all- most of us agree 2016 has not been a good year so it can only get better in 2017

It depends on what hubby feels like having. Maybe just some big ol' burgers and French fries. I might make Beet Tzatziki from the Chef and the Farmer. We are planning to watch Sully tonight.

A very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to everyone!
