I bought some very thick pork chops today, center cut.. They were beautiful..
Breaded and fried them and finished them in the oven.. They were tender and very flavorful..
They were too thick, I should have stuffed them or done something different..
I love pork chops, one of my favorite foods, I love the crisp, crunchy fat, the breading on the bone to be gnawed upon...
Lesson learned, thick is good but these were I am assuming meant for different cooking methods..

Well happy belated birthday pickle!
Today is my husband's 50th birthday. I should make him something great but he's in the middle of a side job and is working after work tonight. I did get a babysitter for Saturday for a late celebration dinner and then I remembered The Pats play at 4:30. Now I need to do some figuring out.
For tonight I will be ordering pizza, both pepperoni and mushroom. Since no one in our house eats cake I'll make donuts and the kids can sing to him over candles on those.
Hubby wants crab cakes tonight. I have leftover crab from Christmas. Not sure what to have with it yet.
