This is tomorrows supper actually, but l post it tonight. My lovely , little Lady , Elf princess is having a grilled burger attack. I offered to cook her whatever she wanted, steak, ribs, chicken, Italian, Mexican, her choice. So she says she wants a burger. A big, juicy, goppy burger, on the charcoal grill. I says..your wish is my command. Lol . She knows I get creative with burgers, and it will be a surprise, no matter what.

Its ground round, no cheap, 3/4 water meat on my grill. Maple wood coals, topped with marinade applewood chips for wet smoke. 3/4 pound patties (she like to have leftovers, so hers will be cut in half or thirds) . Portabella, avocado, purple onion and tomatoes, Aged Swiss cheese. Lightly saute' the shrooms, just enough for a baste coat, finish on grill. Giant, seasame seed buns, grill toasted, hers burger gets either just mayo, or BBQ sauce. Haven't decided on a side. Fry's? Onion rings? Any suggestions? Peach or blueberry pie for desert, and she will vet her favorite sweet tea or a Michelob Ultra to drink. Probably the Michelob, if I'm reading her mood now right. That can change like the sea. Gotta love her. .

I'm really looking forward to this. Cooking for her is one of my greatest pleasures. I may have to make an extra burger, at least a patty, and have extra toppings, and call it leftovers. For such a tiny lil' thing, when she's hungry she feeds. Lol. As I said, suggestions for a side are welcome.

As soon as we get home from church spoiled brat will plug in the electric smoker and on will go a rack of ribs. I am making cold slaw with a little fresh fruit in it and steaming fresh green beans. Right now we are trying to get the fridge cleaned out cause we leave Wed for a week.

We ate out early dinner and I had Parmesan chicken breast in bread crumbs and spaghetti in a tomato and basil sauce. To drink lemon water because we had to drive. No space for dessert.

We went to our local Weatherspoon's pub earlier today, and I had a rather fab Thai green chicken curry, jasmine sticky rice & chips! And for dessert I had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream!

Really tasty, and not bad for pub grub

Totally stuffed now though

Tonight the husband is frying up catfish. I made a potato salad earlier. Someone, I'm guessing not me, will shuck and cook up the corn on the cob.
Happy Sunday!

Went out for a bit to see some friends and watch NASCAR, left around mid-race (?), stopped at Burger King, got food, and brought it home for the rest of the race. It was ok. I'm not a big BK fan, but husband is and it was well past his turn.
