I have two beef roasts in the crock pot with lots of veggies. One will go on sliders for tomorrow's neighbor hood get together. The other one will be dinnner. Mashed potatoes and salad or shredded as fajitas with funny rice on the side.

Canada Day is here and it is raining,humid,some sunshine and more rain....

For tonight I made our favorite potato salad with eggs,dill pickles,Granny Smith apples,Dijon mustard,salt/black pepper,onion,dill and yogurt. Served with lentil burgers. To drink chilled Stella Artois. For dessert cheese cake with strawberries and a cup of coffee with a spoon of whipping cream in it

I'll finish off the last of the corned beef, on rye with Swiss.
Husband will finish off the Chicken in Shrimp Sauce. Came out very good!

My sister and brother-in-law are joining us for dinner tonight so I have a light buffet menu:

Shrimp and Avocado Salad
Cheese, Cracker and Fruit Tray (with Vermont Creamery Bonne Bouche and Fromages D. Affinois)
Buttermilk Popcorn Chicken and a new
drinks recipe I'm trying called "Blackberry Basil Tequila Cobbler") and
Homemade Butter Cookies for dessert.

I have beef ribs on the smoker. Never had beef ribs, and these things are huge. Grilled corn on the cob, bbq beans to go with them and a cold beer to drink (or two or six). Watermelon for dessert.
