So far, so good on the hospital dinner. It was beef brisket with brown gravy, red potatoes, cooked carrots, a dinner roll with butter, chicken noodle soup, a tiny garden salad, ginger ale, and a fruit cup for dessert (red seedless grapes, honeydew, canteloupe, mandarin orange, and pineaple. All delicious.

Emerald, it sounds like they are taking good care of you. Your dinner sounds delicious. Hope you are feeling better.
Our dinner tonight was oven-fried flounder, saffron rice, and a salad with homemade Catalina dressing. Ate dessert first and it was a stop at Rita's for a gelati of lemon water ice with vanilla custard.
Another miserably hot day in Dallas (there are many yet to come ) where I didn't feel like firing up the oven. I must say that yesterday's leftover pork tenderloin tortilla wraps (meaning I last fired up said oven the day before yesterday) were ah-maz-ing.
We're having ham, swiss, romaine, and garden tomato on white toast with mayo and a nice german mustard I picked up at World Market. Watermelon for the side.

Yes, they are. They're very attentive. My surgery ended up being reconstructive and lasting four hours. It seems I have a bit of the canine in me - my problem was hip dysplasia.
Your dinner sounds wonderful! Maybe I'll get DH to stop for a Rita's tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear everything went well. I know when I had my spinal fusion at Overlook Hospital in NJ, the food was spectacular and always lots of it. Remember that nutrition is key to healing.
Half a bowl of instant ramen, and a bunch of Oreo birthday cake cookies.
Had surgery earlier today and not feeling very hungry.
