Our church made dinner for everybody today. My plate had hash and rice, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, cornbread, and butter pound cake. They had so much other good food, but this is just what I wanted. They had something for everyone.

Shrimp broiled in a spicy, tangy butter sauce and succotash of corn, crowder peas, tomato, okra, onion, bacon, and finished with butter. I had a very appreciative wife at supper.

My sister made mashed sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and fried chicken (drumsticks)...all of it was homemade and really good.

Friends from church brought us some home made, broccoli/potato soup so I wouldn't have to cook. We will have that, plus the sour dough bread they had just baked: I say they, actually it was him.
