If you decide on the rum/almond pound cake, can you maybe slide a small slice of it down this way?

Was suppose to be a hiking day and no cooking but the weather is not cooperating..now what?

I am procrastinating and deciding on some indoor fun..maybe ironing? Na. Maybe cooking ..I guess so..

Anyway in my mind I am thinking it would be nice to have today potato pancakes with cinnamon sugar, freshly made unsweetened apple sauce from Macintosh apples and a cool glass of milk.

Have a peaceful and restful Sunday everyone

I'm so very, very sorry! You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers!

Just put a pot roast in the oven with onions and carrots. Mashed potatoes to go with it, and crescent rolls.

Maggie-thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery for your sister.

Almra-sorry the weather wouldn't cooperate. We did a small hike this morning in the cold mist. It was nice but I would have preferred a cool dry morning hike!

I started a beef stew in the slow cooker. Mixing ras el hanout in with the flour to coat the meat is my big secret. Please don't tell anyone! I stopped and picked up a fresh rosemary olive oil boule to go with the stew.
Go Pats and Sox!!!
Happy Sunday!

Maggie, I am so sorry. Yes, you need comfort food. I know you are going to hear a lot of stories about those who came through a similar situation and been fine. I will tell mine, a good friend at church did had one; yes, he too was in ICU but I am not sure about the ventilator. That was maybe 6 weeks ago, he is now back in church and doing well. Let's just pray. For those who believe in prayer remember God will always do what is best, even if we do not understand sometimes.

We got home from church very late, had to fix a big breakfast for Great Gdaughter so just finished an hour ago. I am stuffed, but I also know by dinner I will be ready. Spoiled brat will put some ribs on to smoke before long. We will have sweet potatoes and green salad as well; maybe a veggie as well.
