We are having homemade chicken soup, as both of us are puny, sniffling and hacking. Big bird in pot of water with onion, celery, garlic, carrots. Boil down an hour or so and then remove chicken to cool. Add more onion, garlic , celery, peppers, carrots whatever you choose to soup pot. Pick meat from chicken and throw into pot. Check seasonings, salt, pepper, cayenne for example. In another pot, boil elbows, noddles, tortellini, again your choice, may reserve pasta water to add to soup. Cooked pasta then added to bowl then ladle soup over. Don't forget hot bread or rolls. Deep breaths over soup bowl and hope that tomorrow is a less congested day.

Hubby made shepherd's pie with peas. Steamed carrots on the side.
And Marmite gravy. (He's from England; Marmite is this weird thing they eat.)

We had baked potatoes, flank steak, and fresh green beans. Enough leftover to have steak and eggs for breakfast.

Didn't have time to food shop. Puppy sat my DD dog all weekend and he and my 2 all got sick all weekend long. I'm tired and not in the mood. I stopped at Arby's and got a roast beef au jus sandwich.

I had a hard boiled egg and some of my favorite toasted almond pilaf. DH gets the leftover grilled chicken and pintos with flour tortillas.

I sense a Symphony bar in my near future....
