As SO changed last night's dinner to smoked pork loin, rice a roni, green salad and pear strudel he will get potatoes, green cabbage with onions/bacon/caraway/hot paprika topped with thick slices of smoked country ham and fresh mini cinnamon rolls with copped apples added to the walnuts in the filling. It is still too warm for winter food here.
Beef stew tonight in our slow cooker. Chuck roast, onions, carrots, garlic, celery and potatoes. Perfect for a cool fall evening. Serving over Uncle Ben's converted rice.
It's a little chilly here -so tonight we're having...braised pork and smoked brisket chili with white cheddar and hot chilies on top, corn muffins, coleslaw and apple tarts.
But I'm sure you only make from -scratch biscuits or bread. You are a purist. I am lazy!! (althought I do like to make scratch biscuits on the weekend)
So completely over today. It has been the day from he double hockey sticks. I was going to take the kids to the Chinese restaurant so close to us I can see their back door when I walk out my front door. Instead I just ordered delivery pizza and a cheeseburger sub(pickles, hots, lettuce, mayo toasted!) for delivery.
I hope everyone's Wednesday is so much better then mine!
