Thawed 2 servings of chicken parm with gnocchi. Of course, DH thought he needed spaghetti, too, but it's mostly left over.

dh cooked. We had hot dogs, steamed carrots, steamed cabbage, and boiled red potatoes.

It was actually very good. To encourage him, I told him it was great and asked how he did it.

Answer: A combination of luck and good management!

Yum, yum, yum!

With DH still out in the boonies hunting elk I continue running down and chomping down my list of favorite food.

Two nights ago I made cheese enchiladas with my daughter's special olive salsa and whipped up a homemade Caesar salad. Last night it was a Rueben sandwich and parmesan garlic pita chips with onion dip.

Today it was free pie day at Baker's Square and I had my favorite item on their menu - the toasted, sour cream, Swiss cheese, avocado, mushroom, chicken sandwich with fresh fruit. No room for pie so I used my coupon to comp my girlfriend's lunch.

Tomorrow is another lady's lunch day at a local Mexican restaurant and Friday is a whole table of favorite friends at a seafood buffet. The amusement never ends.

Hope I remember to tell you what I ate. Right now I'm thinking pork tamales. . .

I had a meatloaf lean cuisine and gave my lucky man my leftover Kung Pao beef from lunch.

Better things to come though. Tonight I started the marinating phase of my family favorite 3 day brisket sauerbraten recipe. It's just a big old chunk of brisket (that I found for $6!) rubbed with some spices and then you slug some red wine vinegar over it, cover and refrigerate.
