office Christmas dinner tonight. I've been eyeing the menu and right now I'm thinking butternut squash ravioli followed by duck breast with roasted winter veggies. But the truffled risotto and king salmon are also catching my eye. So many decisions!

Truffled risotto? Where is this party and do I have time to get there????
I'd want to mix-and-match -- truffled risotto and the duck breast. But that's just me. The one who won't get there in time. As if I were even invited...
I know I'm having chili and a side salad for dinner. I haven't decided if I'm having the chili with rice, spaghetti, or garlic bread. I'm leaning towards the garlic bread, tho.
Chinese takeout - spring roll, crab rangoon, shrimp roll and triple delight with no beef.
Temperatures are dropping this weekend, down to -1 Sunday morning with a high of 11. It won't be above freezing until Tuesday. So I went to the store today and plan to have spaghetti with meat sauce (dang it! Just realized I forgot garlic bread!), beef stew and chili over the next several days because I am not leaving the house with temps like that!
We had small Christmas gathering at the church I cook for tonight, about 70 people..
I did Pulled pork for dinner with coleslaw and bbq baked beans.
It was Followed by some caroling, hundreds of cookies, cake and brownies.
Someone came in and made wassail, which I'd never heard of, until tonight.
It basically consisted of apple cider, a bit of pineapple and orange juice, a dash of lemon juice, some cinnamon sticks, cloves and nutmeg all simmered for a bit on the stove and served hot.. It was amazing..
Next week is the real dinner, my gift to some wonderful new friends I've made in the last 18 months.
Leftover barbecued pork with brown rice.
Kale and broccoli salad with pomegranate kernels sprinkled on top.
Slice of caramel-drizzled cheesecake from Trader Joe's for dessert.
Up high in the mountains (guess which) and hoping for something good.
