This morning it was french toast and bacon. That was my plan for Mother's Day last Sunday but our son and his daughter came over and brought pre-made scones, ready to bake, so that's what we had.

My weird breakfast this AM was:

half a sandwich on Marble Rye with prosciutto, Provolone cheese, and mayo, dark mustard. And a cup of coffee with half and half and one t. sugar.

Sometimes I like non-traditional breakfasts...

My go-to regular breakfast is either Overnight Oats or a one egg omelet with sauteed mushrooms and onion and salsa with a orange or a tangerine.

I needed to recharge my sourdough starter for focaccia later today so....
we had wholegrain sourdough pancakes with blueberries, maple syrup and hot coffee. One of my favorites!

I had an egg mcmuffin only better. Ground sausage seasoned with sage, melted cheese and an egg over hard on toast. I avoid the Jimmy Dean sausage because it is nothing but a grease bomb. My local market grinds their own pretty lean.
