I recently saw a mouth-watering picture of a bundt cake in a recipe book, but when I read the recipe, I was turned off because it asked for chocolate syrup for a chocolate bundt cake. Chocolate should be from a chunk of high quality chocolate and chopped or shaved, then melted down.
"Disgusting"? Seriously? We're talking about CAKE!
I rarely bake a cake (WAY too tempting to have around in a usually-1-person household!!) but I occasionally buy a tiny one from my local grocery store. I would prefer vanilla with chocolate frosting OR chocolate with vanilla frosting, but typically the only flavor they have with chocolate frosting is marble, so that's what I get. (Almost everything else they sell is yellow cake with vanilla frosting -- they tell me almost no one wants chocolate frosting, which I find insane!) Marble cake is yummy!!
That's what is disgusting, Vanilla cake with Chocolate icing. Vanilla cake itself is not necessarily gross, just Vanilla Cake With Chocolate Icing
