Weird post, but I always think cumin smells like a man. I love it. Could be because I thought my ex smelled like cumin. Don't love the ex anymore but still love the smell of cumin. Smells sexy.

To me, cumin smells like BO or stinky feet. I like the flavor it imparts to food, but the smell of it alone is off-putting.

Not as strange as you may think, OP. Cumin a hugely popular element to many fragrances. It's said to smell like sweat, and is used for that dirty, 'skanky' note in perfumes, in the same way that musk, civet or ambergris is used. Examples - Rochas Femme, Dior Fahrenheit, Tom Ford London, Armani Eau de Cedre, just to name a few.
