I always have chicken and beef base in my refrigerator in order to fortify soups, stews and other dishes that I am preparing. When I can find Minor's, I will also purchase the Demi glace which is really food with beef roasts.
Normally, I buy them at chef stores and the like although they are widely available in most large supermarkets and online.
