The new menus offerings at ballparks have raised some eyebrows — and loosened some belts.

From a $27 two-foot-long cheesesteak at Yankee Stadium to the $26 “burgerizza” (a huge burger with pizzas on either side instead of a bun) at the Atlanta Braves’ Turner Field, ballparks are continuing to push limits when it comes to outlandish and oversized concessions.

No kidding!!! When it costs more to go to a baseball game and have a couple of hot dogs and a couple of beers than it does to buy an entire month's worth of groceries AND beer, there's something that's not quite right!! If I'm going to schlep all the way down to US Cellular Field (it'll always be Comiskey to me) to watch the White Sox, I'm not going for the dining experience kids - I'm going for the baseball, the hot dogs, and the beer. I'm better off going to the bar! On the other hand, I wouldn't cross the street to see the Cubs.

How do you at a two foot long cheese steak while sitting in one of those little crowded stadium seats? Do you use the top of the head in front of you as a table?

I was reading the link and came across a WTF item...a hot dog topped with mac and cheese and fruit loops at Indians' games. It sounds like something I would have dared a friend to eat when I was in elementary school.

For the cost of these items, I could get 2 Italian beef sandwiches (dipped and topped with hot giardiniera) and a shake before or after the game and some hot dogs or a couple of slices before or after the game which are a lot better than anything at the stadium.
