I don't like pizza with hard or crispy crust.
When it's like that, I just eat the topping and scrape what I can off the crust and leave the hard part.

When it's left over pizza, I get to eat the whole slice because the microwave makes the crust softer and easier to eat.

It's definitely better in the oven, but I just put it in the microwave. Or eat it cold...love it that way, too!

Well, I suppose the preferred method for quality would be the oven, but that takes too much time and effort so we usually just nuke it in the micro. It's leftover pizza and that doesn't happen much around here anyway, so it's not a big problem. Although lately, I've taken to making two pizzas instead of just one so there will be leftovers. Much easier to reheat than to start new. Which is how it gets into the micro, we're just being lazy. Although a lot of it gets eaten cold, too, which is even more lazy, I guess.

Several good suggestions I might try next time, thanks.

Slow oven - about 300 degrees - until the cheese bubbles a bit.

If I choose to waste some of the resources I pay for it should be of no concern to anyone else. Also, at one point I only had an apartment sized stove and one 5 quart pot so the oven was my only choice if I wanted to reheat something which I normally don't do, especially pizza.

Ohh...microwave here. Depending on how many slices...1 or 2...microwave at 50% power, for about 3 minutes covered. After 3 minutes, I reverse the slices, putting the inside colder edges on the perimeter of the plate. Microwave for 3 more minutes at 50% power-covered. Test for warmness. If warm enough, mine are usually steaming, then ready to eat. If not ready, microwave for 1 more minute at High. that is usually enough to melt cheese.

Of course, you can always go for less time. My goal is to avoid petrified pizza.

I wish I still had one of those small stoves. The oven took so little time to preheat, I haven't liked using a normal-sized oven since.
