I don't think we have Tab in the entire state of Alabama. Haven't seen it in years.
RC used to be cheap when the distributor was in our city. They moved to the bigger city up the road, and now it's as expensive (often more) as Coke to buy.
I really like RC better than Coke over ice, but not straight from the can.
Most chain stores receive sodas that are packaged by the local bottler. If there is not a bottler that handles some of these 2nd and 3rd tier sodas, you will not get it.
I see RC more in Tucson than I ever did in Chicago.

I can purchase Cheerwine, Moxie, Ale-8-One, Frostie, etc. from several chain stores here. Local bottlers don't package those.

Those are specialty sodas that are packed at one location and shipped nationwide. If you notice, they are also significantly higher cost than the normal sodas.
Products produced by Coca-Cola, Pepsico, and 7Up/Dr. Pepper are produced locally under licensing agreements.
