Doesn't the grNola go soggy in the fridge with the yoghurt, and the fruit brown?

Hard boiled eggs. Great for a quick snack, easy to mix into egg salad.

I also keep lots of meat, cheese, and nuts (mostly almonds) on hand.

Also, a bottle of lemon juice, so I can add a squirt to my 96 oz of water I drink daily.

I always have a tub of home made tartar sauce and a tub of Bloomin' Onion dip in the fridge.
Always have 3 or 4 salad dressings and fresh vegetables. Eggs and cheese. A pitcher of (iced) green tea for hubby.

Some kind of cold, main-dish salad, like sesame noodles with edamame or tortellini salad. My husband takes his lunch to work so making something that will last several days helps in the mornings. I also make baked steel-cut oatmeal with eggs and fruit in it, which he takes for breakfast.

-always have extra leftover mashed potatoes that hubby makes fantastic potato pancakes
-always have homemade turkey/chicken stock for quick jus for sautéed chicken with wine and butter and fresh herbs
-always dried herbs from garden or fresh if they are currently growing (lemon basil, dill, regular basil)
-always ground dried red peppers from garden
-always chicken soup in the freezer when no energy to cook
-secret weapon in freezer=Korean BBQ chicken thighs, so easy to make and freeze, so quick and easy to bake and serve

what I never have ready is any pastry dessert because I am powerless if it's in the house. I used to make cookie dough and freeze individual cookies to bake a couple at a time but even that was too available haha. I am gluten-intolerant so don't buy store cookies, make them instead (infrequently).
