Their fried chicken used to put the other chains offerings to shame. Too bad there's only one in my area.

There was one in my hometown in the 90s...the earlier half of which were my high school years. Best biscuits. They did do fried chicken for a while, and it was quality!

agree about the biscuits but otherwise have never been a fan of Hardy's. Of course I am not a fan of Steak and Shake either but a lot of people love them and they are always crowded. Guess I am just to particular when it comes to fast food.

The only thing that I remember about my Hardees was they had these "Big Cookies" for like $0.50 that were served warm. They literally called it big cookie. Just a big, thin chocolate chip cookie.

Yuck. I have never been impressed with Hardee's. We still have a couple of them in our area and you couldn't drag me in there. I ate a Carl Jr's when traveling, not realizing till after I'd ordered that it was the same thing as Hardee's. I just don't get the appeal. It's very unappetizing to me.

To me Hardees was actually better back in the 70s than they were in the 80s & 90s. Their steak sandwiches and Big Husky burgers were great and their places were clean at least in my hometown they were anyway. Then by the mid 80s to me they went downhill. No more steak sandwiches and the Big Husky were gone and their restaurants weren't very clean and the employees were questionable like the guy I saw once in 1985 smoking a cigarette in the kitchen while fixing food. Yuck !!

Hardees however did have one thing in the favor in those days as they were the ONLY restaurant that was opened in the middle of night so they were quite popular with the bar crowd. Then Denny's came to town and Hardees was toast.

There is a Carls Jr bear us. It's OK but they aren't cheap. The deals they offer now is a far cry to the deals of Hardees had back in the day.
