To me, white meat turkey tastes very much like white meat checken. (In both cases, I preger dark meat.)
I've had several varieties of snake. I've had frog legs many times. Depending on the preparation, they all could have been mistaken for chicken (even though they tend to be chewier.)
Ironically, ostrich tastes nothing like chicken. Closer in taste to duck, but it's texture is like beef. Ostrich carpaccio (thinly sliced raw meat) is one of the most delicious proteins I've ever tasted.
Alligator and frog legs. If I didn't know what I was eating I would have assumed chicken. I have had some frog legs the tasted "swampy" in Louisiana but good frog legs don't have that quality.
Sometimes chicken doesn't taste like chicken. Nuggets for example from different sources are sometimes nearly inedible. I've had grouper that was much like chicken at least in taste. Actually ..only description I could think of with it's lack of fishy taste and smooth texture.
Alligator, I wont say it taste exactly like chicken but it's close, the texture is different..
You may just get away with serving it to someone who didn't know better AS chicken..
Just tell them it was overcooked and chewy...
Snake, Alligator (some, some gator I've had tastes more like pork. I understand it depends on what they're fed), Frog's legs (different texture, but a flavor like chicken).
Have to vote for all those who said alligator. Besides a bit chewier, it does remind one of chicken, especially if you don't tell them it's 'gator.
