Okay, am I crazy? I'm trying to remember the name of little snack crackers that were a little darker (not white), speckled with pepper (I think), and in the shape of playing card symbols -- hearts, spades, clubs, diamonds -- designed to be served with (I suppose) a dip or a spread at bridge games in the '50-60s. I keep thinking "Solitaire" (card game), but can't find any reference to them anywhere on line. Anyone???

Sociables sounds like the kind of cracker you are looking for, and they are in shapes, but not the hearts/spades/clubs/diamonds.

OMG - I remember those - more the taste than the look/shape. Kinda peppery, right?

Funny, I don't eat :stuff like that" now (sometimes I miss Cheez-Its though).

Yes; the black specks in the Sociables crackers must've been cracked pepper. Yum!

And they have been around a long time. So ahead of their time. Think brat pack! Very cool.
