Republic of Tea

has bulk teas. Check their website.

Haven't shopped elsewhere, don't know if their prices are competitive or not with other sites ... but we've been satisfied with their teas over the past few years.

I bought loose tea some years ago from www.tealux.ca now the site is www.tealyra.com I bought sample bags, not sure if they still sell those and 2 of smaller size/weight all good.
There is a loose teas forum with lots of information advice tips at Steepster — Best Teas
I also bougt loose tea at the site Verdant Tea | A marketplace for small family tea farmers, directly from their farm to your cup. I bought samples and small size some years ago.
And I also got samples from Chinese Tea via Steepster/forum site they did sometimes free samples and on their website you can buy sampler packs. I bought the Oolong sampler very nice.
In a shop long ago I bought loose leaf tea Twinings english breakfast.
I am the only loose leaf tea drinker in my house so I prefer to buy samples or buy very small amounts for variety.

We have an Adagio tea store in my town, and that's where I usually buy my teas. I much prefer them to Teavana. They have an online store here:

Buy Loose Leaf Tea Online | Free shipping over $49

Additional online sources I've bookmarked but haven't tried yet:

Charleston Tea Plantation
https://www.yorkshiretea.co.uk

Regarding pricey teas: you choose how you want to spend your discretionary money. I don't smoke or drink so I like my teas - some of them expensive. Same with ice cream: I'll never purchase a treat because it's "cheap".

Amazon.com sells a pretty amazing variety of teas, both bagged and loose-leaf -- I'm presently sipping a Davidson's Keemun bagged tea I ordered from them. I've also ordered directly from Republic of Tea.

English Tea Store I'm partial to south Asian black teas (in bags). But they sell loose leaf as well.
