I saw this article: https://www.organicconsumers.org/new...farm-practices

This is not that bad. The products may not be strictly organic, but may not do too much harm. However, if I were to pay 5X the money, I'd want to make sure it's worth it. The problem is to find out which certifying companies are trustworthy.

Pretty much this. I'm not opposed to eating something that is organic, but I sure as heck am not paying 3 to 4 times the cost of the regular version. If I see it on sale, and either it is cheaper than the regular or I see it first, I'll snag it up, but otherwise, meh on it.

This goes for many of us. I think for people who do not depend on a food budget and really think eating Organic is much better and healthier, that is fine. For us, generally we eat what is on sale, lots of fresh, not processed, but rarely worry about "organic" Even what we get from the Farmers market isn't usually organic. I think I will take freshness first.

One more reason to not give a rat's ass if it's organic.

There are different grades of Organic. Regrettably the FDA has too few inspectors so it is on the honor system in terms of label usage. At least until the FDA shows up to examine the paperwork.
