We buy a large container (refrigerated) of the minced garlic at Costco. It last a long time, and since we have 2 fridges, no problem. I have my everyday fridge, and my sometimes fridge. (And for those of you worried about the China connection, and rightfully so, the Costco brand is all from GILROY, CA)

I love the frozen cubes of minced garlic, they are convenient, reasonably priced and taste fresh. Trader Joe's has them as do other stores.

I prefer to mince fresh garlic, and I often use granulated/powdered garlic in addition to fresh. They have different flavor profiles, but one complements the other.

I use the jar garlic too if I don't have fresh. I use a brand called Christopher ranch. It's about $3.00 maybe a bit more but well worth it. I also use their ginger in the jar too. http://www.christopherranch.com/products/#anchor-pl-4
