I always make a breakfast casserole of one kind or another. This time it was sausage and country gravy casserole. Sometimes it's a blueberry cream cheese thing or French toast casserole.

Breakfast was homemade rolls, coffee, juice, and a few cheese cubes.

We don't host a lot of people , so the only apps are a relish tray of celery and olives, and a dish of nuts.

The main event is the turkey and the vegetable chunks we roast it with, gravy, sausage and corn bread dressing and herb dressing, green bean casserole, pan roasted brussells sprouts, and a peach/cherry pie for dessert.

We have a quiet Thanksgiving. Since we celebrated with my husbands side of the family last Saturday, it's only my husband and myself, my two younger daughters and my mother. We usually have a simple breakfast and the a few apps around 12. Dinner was at 2:30. Pork Loin wrapped in bacon, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffed mushrooms and rolls. Wine for the adults We had dessert at ;30. Choice of Lemon meringue pie or cupcakes. Plenty of left overs for tomorrow. My husband went to fight the sales crowds at Walmart at 6. He got some great deals!! It was a fantastic day!

I keep it simple and light: breakfast was fresh pineapple and eggs, lunch was chickpea salad sandwiches and crudites. Whatever keeps them the hell out of my kitchen while I'm working

Just a small slice of home-made applesauce cake for breakfast. Attended a great neighborhood potluck with dinner served at 3:00, so that was pretty much our food for the day. Came home with a turkey carcass and made a gallon of gorgeous stock, if I may say so myself. Planning to have a lot of delicious soup this month.

We don't do any special Thanksgiving breakfast. The only thing is I usually eat one of my mom's homemade brioche muffins with a cup of coffee. We never do appetizers because we have a ton of food to eat at 3:00 pm.

I'd made a spinach, cheddar, bacon quiche. I offered sunny side up. I bought a couple if bagels, some cream cheese, and lox. The pomelo in the refrigerator was waiting to be eviscerated. There was orange juice, tomato juice, regular and decaf coffee, assorted teas, cocoa and milk to drink. No one wanted breakfast.

We had a "Non-Traditional" TG. Breakfast was sandwiches made with bacon, sausage, eggs and English muffins. We made them and ran up to a park on a beach and had breakfast (second year for this new tradition)

Lunch was JUMBO stone crab claws. What a treat. Made a huge mess (cracking stone hard shells with metal hammers) but worth it.

Dinner first was fresh Florida Gulf pink shrimp steamed and eaten with meted butter and key limes.

Next: fresh corn on the cob, delicious.

Main course: Fresh grouper cheeks prepared several ways including tempura, pan sauteed with lemon/cilantro 'sauce' and yellow and green zucchini pan sauteed.

Delicious.
