I had to try Uni (sea urchin roe) three times before I could swallow it; now I'm addicted to it.

Asparagus, blue cheese, scotch, anything smoked, ghost peppers, Tofu (or maybe it is just disgusting and people pretend to like it because they are supposed to), Flan, gingerbread or anything ginger, citrus fruit that is sour, most candies.

I think everything is actually an acquired tasted. I used to drin a half gallon of diet coke a day, then I stopped not two years later, I think it states horrid. Same with a daughter who went vegan for two years. Unveganed in part because no bacon was killing her, and thought most meats are gross.

We had an exchange student from Taiwan. She thought milkshakes, creme pies and whipped cream were the most disgusting things she had ever tasted in her life. When she left, she loved them.

Scotch! Tried many times, various brands/blends/single malts, etc. but just cannot like it. Which means I would never have made a good lawyer like my father and brother I guess (though honestly I would have if not for this one fatal flaw).

Pickled herring/gefilte fish - no thanks. Not that much into slimy fish skin. Crispy is ok. And fish in general I like very much. Probably more the appearance/texture than the taste though that I cannot handle.

Have you tried sea cucumber and jelly fish? I tried both twice and just couldn't do it.

After reading through this thread, it is very apparent that most of the respondents did not understand the meaning of "an acquired taste".
