I love red bell peppers. Been buying organic for quite a while. For some reason I bought regular ones the other day and just ate one.

Completely bland, and just nothingness. I won't be doing that again.

Yes I realize this is not a scientific experiment but having regular ones again I now remember really getting hooked on these when I started buying organic. I generally buy organic because of what's not in it. Better taste is just a bonus.

Good to know. I usually forgo organic because of the cost, but I over heard someone saying once you taste an organic banana, you won't go back. I haven tested it yet. I'm willing to pay a bit more if there is really a difference in quality.

The dif on red bell around here is about fifty cents each. The organic are about 30% smaller but "meatier".

I'm having to buy organic a lot more often than I used to because of new food allergies. Some organic foods have more flavor, but others seem about the same. Bananas taste the same to me, organic or not. I've been buying organic bananas for a while because then my guinea pigs can eat the peels, but there's really no taste difference.

I'm still buying regular red peppers and they have enough flavor for me.

The main reason that I'm having to buy organic is that a lot of non-organic veggies and fruits have a "vegetable wax" coating that I react to.

Organic vegetables and fruits are so much more flavorful so well worth it.

And food should taste good, right? That's the point........

I find it surprising but it is true that the organic fruits taste much much better than the nonorganic. It is very noticeable. However I eat nonorganic broccoli because the organic always has bugs and it tastes the same as organic to me. Organic carrots are sweeter, cauliflower no difference really.

In one way I am very lucky. (I hate Florida-see upper right) I can grow peppers down here year round. And I do. I grow tomatoes and peppers all the time, because they are the priciest veggies at market.
I do buy organic carrots and romaine. But, this time of year, I'll get a break form the price-jabbing on romaine, because it's finally cooling off enough I can grow it too!

HAHAHA, you made Mr. CSD LOL

In my opinion *organic* tastes better because some humans believe what has been advertised on television and radio.
We will keep buying and eating the same old way we have been for years and leave the *organic* no different than the rest of the produce to those who believe there is a difference.
