So since this is not the healthy thread and I won't say a thing about the current admin I will go forth and say when I get upset I COOK
So:
For dinner: a stew of organic pork sausage
which I have to say this is the first and boy is it just like a very no oil, no grease ground. I all most would say a ground sirloin.
Shock.
I added tri blend beans (organic) with a slew of red and yellow bell pepper heads (frugal as it may) frozen sweet corn not organic, and then I did the crazy thing....from last night's Italian closet in the fridge I took out the two last pork sausage with provolone and more cheese and think a strong cheese starting with asiago
then I put a dram of Patron lime liquer can't drink the stuff but it does do something to the sauce. And dang even on clearance clearance it was not cheap in my world. Thought it was going to be great but JEEZ its worse that a Fire Ball!
OK, in the oven now, in my cutest Dutch Oven shaped as a cat...English Roast, with sweet onion (first of the season) carrots (organic) celery, a cup of dry red wine, garlic (again), Brussel sprouts (I know!), salt and pepper.
See, when I am upset I cook!
Do you want to come over....I think I might start a soup kitchen.
I am making something I haven't made since the late 1960s. I am going to do Veal Scaloppine. Sam's carries Veal and about once every 2 months I break down, spend the money of it or Lamb and enjoy every bite. We are having salad with Italian dressing as well and some pasta with pesto.
