Cool dreary day here. The weather works for my dinner meal. I am making a beef stew in the slow cooker. While I am out later I will pick up either a rosemary olive oil boule or a sourdough boule, whichever they have out today.
Setting the table tonight with blue and white checkered table linen,blue serviettes,wooden boards instead of plates, and beer mugs/Bier Seidls. I will serve home baked Farmer bread/Bauernbrot,Bavarian soft Pretzels,Kaiser buns,dill/sardine/plain butter,a wooden board with Harzer,Limburger,Swiss,Gouda,Camembert,mango cheeses,green and red grapes,a tomato and curly parsley salad,a red radish salad,cold potato /cucumber salad,spicy roasted chicken legs, a board with a variety of cold cuts served with chilled beer. Later for dessert Black Forest cake/Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte with black coffee .
picked up a nice rockfish at the market this morning. Will have that with mango salsa and fresh local asparagus. Getting to the end of the crop and enjoying the last few meals of it before the local stuff is gone for another year.

Just another day i a week of changes and confusion. I have no idea what to fix. We bought some very pricey kabobs yesterday from our new meat market, with the idea of grilling them tonight: well out of nowhere the Mother nature decided to drop that wet stuff and maybe it is going to rain all day: so much for grilling. The bobs are too big for the griddler I am afraid and we are not going to be home for dinner tomorrow night. I just don't know what to do: I am sure I will find a way to grill them: if so, we are having beets and a green salad with them. Will probably have the salad and beets regardless what we have as our main dish.
Will be very warm here today. Grilling some chicken kabobs later, with salad.
