My boy is coming home from HI on leave today! (5 hours and counting, now!) For dinner, he said he wants his favorite:

Steak on the grill
Baked Potatoes on the grill
Corn on the cob on the grill

He says my husband's grill cooking can't be beat anywhere, anytime, by anybody.

He's only here for a few hours (he's home to stand up in a wedding of an old friend from HS and has too much to do before then so he's staying with a friend in the city and just stopping here for a little while which is fine considering I'm laid up the way I am) and that's ALL he wanted to eat.

Husband just got home from the store and is getting the steak ready now! I'm so excited!!!!!!

I'm happy to have leftover falafel from last night. I'll be making roasted yams & red bell pepper to go with it, along with a slaw made of cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, toasted pine nuts, fresh mint leaves, and a lemony garlic dressing.

I've settled it.

I'm making an extremely "traditional" meal of:

ricotta lasagna

carrot tzimmes (Carrot Tzimmes Recipe (Israeli Jewish carrots braised with honey) | Whats4eats)

apple slices dipped in honey

baby spinach with vinaigrette dressing

Hi everybody, I just returned from my daughter's wedding week in Idyllwild and I'm exhausted. Tonight we are having pan-fried pork cutlets, cheesy-zucchini rice, spicy cabbage, and apple tarts for dessert.

Tonight husband is grilling steaks. It is filet mignon for the kids, porterhouse for the husband and a sirloin strip for me. Making baked potatoes and roasted asparagus too.

Welcome back Praline!

I'm doing a lot of pre-winter cleaning, so I thought I'd make some grilled cheese sandwiched with extra sharp cheddar, tomato bisque, and dill pickles.

I have an apple cake in the oven.
