Well there sure are a lot of us WFDT members down. I'm sick too - had to take a steroid shot cause my stupid glands were so swollen. That seems to have totally worked, hopefully it will last! They think it's the cold I thought I got over after traveling at Thanksgiving turned into a full blown sinus event.
I was in no mood to cook after that doc visit, so I made corn dogs and stocking chocolate for dinner last night. Feeling a bit better today, so I shall bestir myself to make Christmas dinner redux -- thin sliced rib roast with horseradish sauce, peas and corn, mashed potatoes. More Christmas cookies for dessert. I have 5 pounds to lose next month.
It sounds like everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I cracked my head skiing and spent hours in the ER to make sure I didn't have a concussion. We returned home this morning and I went to the office. Tonight we are going out for Chinese food as I am in no mood to cook and I still have a headache (and a goose egg on the back of my head).
Yikes! I couldn't rep you but be careful up there. I hope your goose egg and painful head go away soon!
I am on day two of a nasty stomach bug. The six year old brought it home as a Christmas gift I guess.
I pulled some pizza dough out of the freezer and made a pepperoni pie for my boys. I am debating if I should chance a slice. Not too sure that would be prudent at this juncture!
well, like off and on for the past 10 days we will be glued to the TV watching football so dinner has to be simple with little clean up. I am doing buffalo wings in the air fryer, fruit salad and broccoli and cauliflower. I might add a potato, not sure but no kale and broccoli salad. that comment was for you, Dennis, I couldn't resist.
Smashed potatoes, spicy steamed cabbage, brats SO got at the local butcher shop. Cookie size apple pies (crusts are frozen in the pans, roughly chopped apple, honey, spice, crumble to top it off). It is brrrr cold.
Making Chili with homemade yogurt and garlic naan.
To drink lassi, lemon water or beer.
For dessert baked apples with cinnamon sugar and warm vanilla sauce.Later tea with Christmas cookies while playing card games.
