I went out for breakfast today, and had a breakfast sandwich on brioche toast.

Wow, brioche sliced bread was yummy and decadent. I was pondering what a great grilled cheese or slice of cinnamon toast it would make. Have you tried it?

We buy the brioche hot dog buns for lobster rolls. Gotta love that rich, sweet flavor.

It's great for French toast, too. We actually had burgers on some brioche buns last evening.

Here in California we're accustomed to sourdough. Brioche just seems too sweet.

I like them both. I like sweet and non sweet breads (I am from Cali). I like the rich flavor and texture of the brioche. I like sweeter breads for burgers. I can go either way for a breakfast sandwich.

I love brioche with coffee for breakfast.

I use slightly stale brioche to make bread pudding or French toast, as well.
